We are so stoked that Joel was accepted into the WPJA last week! As you may have heard us prattle on before, the WPJA is the Wedding Photojournalist Association. To be accepted, you must have a quality portfolio that is almost strictly documentary. Within this association, the post-processing is kept fairly minimal and clean, to keep the focus on the original strength of an image. It’s such an honor for both of us to be members of this association as it really represents the photojournalism style, and quality, of photography that we strive to create.
Currently, Joel is just listed in Missouri, but shortly we will be including the West Coast as well as increasing our Destination Wedding photography coverage. More highlights on destionation locations to come! In the meantime, we are doing a little jig in celebration of Joel’s recognition. *Insert Jig Music*
Angelique contacted us a few weeks before she needed to send out her invitations. We were delighted to hear from this friend of a bride, and although we never actually met or talked on the phone, we certainly share the same sense of style, and humor. (As well as a love of multitasking with a glass of wine! 
)
Their invitation is a personalized version of our eclectic pre-designed invitation, Fleurition. Although there isn’t a detachable rsvp card, this simple tri-fold, self-mailing invitation is quite complete and a wonderful first impression. Without ever going to a commercial printer before, Angelique was able to get quotes, select colors and paper, from a local printer there in Minnesota. From what we witnessed, Johnson Printing (http://www.johnson-printing.com) was a pleasure to work with and had beautiful results with the invite. We love the colors Angelique and Kyle selected! Seems like you should be able to lick it and taste coffee and caramel.
They could also use their monogram we designed for other elements of their fall wedding in Rochester. For more designs, check out our current invitations under our wedding section. Keep in mind, we’re always expanding with new designs and available for unique custom designs. Coming soon : a beach destination theme complete with an original palm tree illustration. (Just in time for the cold weather!)
Kristen has the coolest last name ever: Fantasma. Personally, I think Mikeal, who’s last name is Baker, should totally take her name.
Their engagement session reminded us a lot of ourselves, and reminded us that we need to have more pictures of us that isn’t Joel jetting his arm out with the camera. They are energetically fun, totally caught up in each other, and quite excited about just being married. (Not necessarily the actual wedding as much as the new chapter that it will symbolize.)
