Widmer Brothers Brewery : 25th Anniversary Poster Contest
Being designer and photographer-ites is a bit of a seesaw ride of attention. We often don’t blog as much about our design work, but that will be changing! Get ready for blurbs about logos, websites, and anything else deemed blog-worthy as we often forget to share like we do our photography work. Which we’ll have some exciting new portrait shoots coming up, so stay tuned! 
Also, if you want some design love-don’t be bashful! We’re always happy to chat about design adventures on the horizon.
This is our recent poster design entry, which won first place in the Widmer Brothers Poster Contest. A bonus story behind the photos, is that those are the ones which we’d taken a few weeks before we even heard about the contest. (On Joel’s birthday brewery tour and gallop around Portland.) This was quite fun to work on, and I got to design it while drinking some tasty Widmer Drop Top Amber. (Although I have to admit that Drifter is my new fave.) We’ll be sure and write about the anniversary party this weekend; so stoked!
:{ P }: Meet Katie + Jesse
This week we got one of the best emails. Excerpt : “…We’re a couple with a sense of humor: we like the woods, mullets, beer, tacos, rainbows, sweatpants, jokes, music…” We were instantly hooked! With a wedding at a park that has Frisbee Golf, where they’re thinking of customized Frisbees to double as paper plate holders-what’s there not to love!? We actually got so into chatting about everything, we totally spaced on showing them the wedding album we took with us as well as even giving some some of our business cards. Maybe we didn’t have enough coffee…(Guess we’ll just have to get together again, sometime.)
Destiny, however, did pop by to say hello! Over a wall they were playing around on, we found a taco ambulance! Just what Katie had been searching for to complete the menu, but hadn’t been able to find one that was mobile. Will keep you posted on that front as the taco wagon securing progresses.
You’ll also notice there is something different about these images. This is part of a new project called “Circa” we’re launching, but detail tastiness to come on that shortly! Enjoy Katie, Jesse, and their inspiring togetherness.
