We were quite humbled to see our couple, Tiffany + Brandon, on the blog Style Me Pretty last week. And by humbled, I mean we did the kind of excited spasms that people only do when selected to play The Price is Right. Just thought I’d share as it’s not only a great blog (follow on twitter via @stylemepretty) for inspiring ideas and finds, but they also just pimped out our Circa project! It’s okay-we’ve checked-our big heads still manage to squeeze through doors.

A trek through woods and poison ivy to find Andy’s childhood rope swing kicked off this e-session adventure. Although, sadly, the rope swing was long gone…along with the tree it was on, but we did have a grand time rolling around in a deer bed. (Spiders and ants aside…)
We lovingly refer to them as “Shannandy” (which is really fun to say) and they’ll be getting married in October at the Uptown Theatre. She’s having her mom’s wedding dress altered by Janay A into a cocktail dress for her rehearsal dinner. (Can’t wait to see it!) They will also be using the overflowing-ly talented, Bridget Kelly with Ornamental Petal to satisfy their floral desires. Their new place is also quite cute and comes complete with an awesome “Yihuahua” (Yorkie-Chihuahua) named Penny that has forever changed our mind about little toy dogs; she’s got a sweet crooked tail, is super tough, and likes to be slung across the floor.
Needless to say, they are fatastical and actually have ties to a first kiss, at 13, in a bowling alley! I always wonder what Joel and I would’ve been like if we’d known each other at 13. However, not sure my gangley physique and braces would’ve lured him in.
Every time we get together with “Shannandy”-we get to know them a little more. He used to skateboard and was in a Ska band, and she used to collect frogs at night while in school. Obvious is that they’re quite in love and don’t need more than each other to be entertained. We also decided there needs to be several more records with body parts on them-especially lacking are any with the mid-section on the cover.
Also, on a very extreme tangent, decided on the trip out to Lawrence, there must be a need for a nudist, free-range daycare service. We mis-read a sign in a pasture and thought it said “Free-Range Daycare.” I actually think there must be some out here in Oregon at a hippie colony or something. I can hear the sales pitch, now : “Set your kids free out in this fenced in area, leave their clothes at the gate, and let them roam around naked all day in a field, grazing on clover, as nature intended.” Dunno…seems like a great business model that could have a market.

After many months of chatting back and forth through email, it was so good to meet up with Erica and Nathan! Here are a few shots from our togetherness.
Also, if confused by the USVI, it’s the US Virgin Islands! We’ll be documenting their wedding next summer in St. John’s. Erica actually just got back from a wedding scouting trip down there, hence the lovely tan, and will be sending over some images for us to post. (We’ll totally be photoshop-ing ourselves in.) They will also have a grand party at Californos, shortly following the wedding.
Very much looking forward to spending more time with these two over the next year!
