After taking the super hot month of July off the Wedding Hive is back in action. We are excited to share that we’ve received another wonderful mention from KC Weddings in their Fall/Winter 2010 issue. They featured a lovely vintage brooch necklace from Scarlett Garnet in their DIY Style section:

The Honeypot Shop: videos and pics

The first every Wedding Hive Honeypot Shop was June 26h, 2010. Despite the blistering heat and many sports events that we were competing with, the event was considered a success, especially for it being the first year. With such fun and creative vendors how could it not be? We enjoyed getting to know each and every one of these local artists and designers, and look forward to participating in future events with them.

Real Weddings: Hive-a-palooza, Amber and Theo

We have to take a moment here on the Wedding Hive blog to give a big shout out to Amber and Theo, married on May 15th, 2010. They used members of the Wedding Hive for almost every aspect of their wedding and we think it turned out just adorable (not to toot our own horns). Check out the wedding dress by Janay A., jewelry by Scarlett Garnet, fresh and paper flowers by Ornamental Petal, event space and catering by Californos, and of course lovely images of the whole day by Melissa Lin Ellis Photography. The Wedding Hive is so excited to announce the first ever Honeypot Shop. It’s a summer event that will feature work from local Kansas City artists and designers, all who have created hand made treats just for you!

When: June 26th 2010 from 11 am – 6 pm

Where: Genevieve Flynn Studios, 1717 Oak Street KCMO

We will be featuring work from the following vendors: emmy-ray, Scarlett Garnet, Genevieve Flynn, Two Tone Press, Dirty Laundry, Donna’s Dress Shop, Dumb Kid Designs, Announce This!, 74 Harley Street, The Olive Tree Boutique, Cinderelish, Tag Team Tompkins, Meadowbelle Market, byMindy, Aunt June, and more.
