Alice in Wonderland Event, The Buzz : Wedding Hive Announcements
I must say that I have not been involved with a more exciting group of young, upcoming, talented people!!! I feel very privileged to be involved with Bridget Kelly of Ornamental Petal, Garnet Baker of Scarlett Garnet Jewelry, Janay Andrew of Janay A, Joe Schutz of Cakes by Joe and of course Mary and Joel Schroeder of Blue Window Creations! I am Genevieve Flynn of Genevieve Flynn Studio and I make jewelry and teach classes in silversmithing.
As the event draws ever nearer the excitement grows and I pity the people that DON’T come to our event! This will be a wonderful time to meet the artists and vendors along with experiencing this first event of many more to come!!!

The Wedding Hive presents “Alice in Wonderland”, an interactive indie wedding fair taking place on Thursday, January 22, 2009. This first annual event is held at Californos in Westport, a 2008 pick for “Best of Weddings venue” by the Knot. The event is not only a bridal fair, but also a charitable event benefiting the Hope House and Wayside Waifs. Both charities will have an information booth and donation table, and there will be a silent auction to benefit them as well.
In addition to showcasing their wedding skills, each member will also be selling and sampling their goods and services. The event runs from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm, is free to the public and provides complimentary bubbly, bites and wedding cake. Experience local, custom wedding products and services such as floral artistry, wedding gowns, cakes, one of a kind jewelry and accessories, photographers, wedding and event planners, invitations, catering, musicians, hair and makeup and much more. The Wedding Hive’s mission is to be an eclectic group fueled by events with character. They feature bi-annual wedding shows in the winter and summer. Finally, a group dedicated to providing non-corporate, customized wedding needs has arrived. Come see what all the “buzz” is about!
