It’s that time of year again, the holidays, which means that many of our Hive core members are busy bees making beautiful things just for you.

Genevieve Flynn will be hosting a holiday open house this week at her studio.  Please come by and see jewelry created by her and also the talented Lori Fluegel.  The show is happening this Thursday, December 3rd from 5:00-8:00pm at 1717 Oak Street (in the Crossroads).  We hope to see you there!

Well, I am overdue in getting this out but as they say better late than never!  At least I am hoping so.

On Thursday, November 12, 2009 the Wedding Hive sponsored a Meet ‘n Greet at The Boozefish in Kansas City.  This event was to allow possible vendors and couples to meet the core Hivers!!!  There certainly was alot of “buzzing” around at the gathering.  Our director Marissa Flynn was on hand to greet everyone along with Janay Andrews of Janay-a, Joseph Schutz of Cakes by Joe and Genevieve Flynn of Genevieve Flynn Studio.  Unfortunately our Ornamental Petal, Bridget Kelly, was ill and Garnet Griebel of Scarlett Garnet Jewelry was out of town.

The Hive was sponsored by The Pitch that evening and Maija of The Boozefish was our grateful host!  A raffle was offered and a wonderful basket of goodies was compiled by the Hive Core Group and The Pitch.  The basket was valued at $400.00 and Tim Ellis of Melissa Lin Ellis Photography was the lucky winner.  He was the lucky recipient of 3 tickets to the Andy Warhol exhibit, 4 tickets to Five for Fighting, all donated by The Pitch, cookies by Cakes by Joe, a sweet clutch (of which I am sure he gave to his stunning wife,) an enameled sterling silver ring by Genevieve Flynn Studio, and two gift certificates from Scarlett Garnet Jewelry and Ornamental Petal.

We, meaning the Hivers, felt like the gathering was a great success!!!  We are looking forward to a hugely successful show on February 25, 2010.
