Upon first meeting Maura a few things are obvious, 1. She is charming, out-going, and passionate about her work, and 2. She knows her stuff when it comes to weddings and video editing. Working in the Kansas City area for years with all kinds of couples, Maura also has a background in fine arts and many hours behind both digital video and still cameras, that helps set her work apart. The Wedding Hive has been lucky enough to collaborate with Maura in creating a video for our “Enchanted Wedding” event, and we can’t wait to see what she comes up with.

One only need watch some of Maura’s beautiful HD footage, expertly edited with attention to every detail, to see the quality of her work. Melissa Lin Ellis describes herself as “fun and quirky, yet low-key and professional. I’m a complete sucker for romantic sweetness, vintage or handcrafted fashion and I respond very well to silly sarcasm.”  We couldn’t agree more, and her charming personality really comes through in her photography.  She feels most at home when she has a camera in hand, and always makes sure her clients have an amazing and comfortable experience.

Ever the observer Melissa photographs each wedding using a documentary style, and with a love for fashion, she uses her editorial eye to capture amazing shots of her subjects.  Working in tandem with a co-photographer she takes pictures of every detail of your wedding day “both tremendous and pocket-sized”.  But let’s let her work speak for itself:

It’s here, it’s here!  And the Hivers couldn’t be more excited.  After many a long month of planning and a sleepless night of working it’s finally time for our annual show.  We’ve put a ton of work into making this event a success and an enjoyable experience for each and every one of our guests.  We hope to see your smiling faces there!
