Blue Window Creative
Boutique-style company specializing in editorial wedding photography, inspired invitations, and the pursuit of sustainable design practices. Photographers, designers, and frequently frolicking through a field. Particularly interested in documenting destination weddings, unique couples with genuine hearts, and finding balance within design. Also responsible for the lovely website, and marketing materials for the Wedding Hive. Recently relocated to Portland and currently cooking up big plans for The Hivers!
What our couples really get, is an opportunity to get to be known. We really see our relationships as collaborative, and focused on creatively narrating the end of one chapter, and beginning of the next. Our most recent visual explorations involve creating a nostalgic processing, similar to a Holga or 70’s imagery, with un-choreographed, free-spirited, photography. We do this with great care, and only when it appropriately adds to the narration of the story.
Invitations give us a chance to use that design degree that’s shoved in box somewhere. It started with helping a friend with her wedding, and from then it just grew from friends to strangers that just loved what they saw. We really embraced the idea of the self-mailing formats from the beginning. We see them as not only a beautiful package right out of the mail, but also a reduced-waste way of ‘getting the word out.’ No envelopes, or tissue paper, just fun formats, and eclectic designs that give a unique first impression. Wish they could be scratch and sniff, or maybe scratch and lick, but don’t think technology is quite there.

So not only will you be treated to utter freshness, his creations are in short, phenomenal. We’re not talking about cheap white cake here people! These cakes are sure to surprise & envelope you in sweet & savory chills of contentment, often resulting in unseen facial expressions. Do you know of anyone else’s cakes that can do that? Ornamental Petal
Have you ever looked at a flower and become so overwhelmed with it’s beauty in imperfection that you were left incredulous? That happens to Bridget Kelly of Ornamental Petal every day. And that’s not an exaggeration, it’s a point of pride.
Bridget started doing flowers in an unconventional method, and sometimes thinks that’s why she excels. She doesn’t look at flowers with a strategy in mind, to her it’s a process of displaying that flower in a way that only highlights it’s magnificence. And it doesn’t stop at flowers! Having attended the Kansas City Art Institute for Printmaking, Bridget takes a fine art approach to everything, be it an origami curtain custom-made for an improvised altar, a modern version of the cascade bouquet, or a hairpiece made of various parts of flowers reassembled into a never-seen-before bloom.
Bridget makes every piece whether floral or not completely customized to each client. Her belief is that as no two flowers are the same, no two clients are the same, and every bride, groom, ceremony arrangement and table centerpiece should shine in it’s own light, their magnificence highlighted so everyone knows there is none other like it.
